While it is technically not the preseason yet, the college basketball preseason starts the day you step on campus. Like I said earlier, we started playing pickup, lifting, and individual workouts almost right after we got to school. Now we are able to have very limited ammounts of practice as a team and start conditioning. The first few days of conditioning are always rough. I was a little worried about how I’d do since I did have sinus surgery over the summer but I’m glad to say I was 100% and was able to finish the sprints in the time allowed. We had our first day of “practice” tonight and it went pretty well. It only lasted 40 minutes but we got some good work done. Its good to not be a freshman anymore and I feel like I am playing with more confidence now that I know what I am doing.
I had a pretty low-key weekend. I watched alot of football. I don’t know how I felt about the Ohio State USC game. I cannot stand the Buckeyes. I have alot of friends that are big OSU fans and I am a Wisconsin fan so you can see where I would get sick of the Buckeyes winning the Big Ten. On the other hand, watching them get killed I could already hear the SEC and PAC-10 idiots calling the Big Ten weak for the rest of the season. Wisconsin took care of Fresno State. They barely won but that’s not an easy place to play and the announcers pointed out that numerous PAC-10 teams have canceled on Fresno because they didn’t want to play there.
I had to watch the packers game on Gamecast. It was great to see Aaron Rodgers lead the Packers to the win. Maybe the most importantly, my fantasy team won this week. I don’t think I could have afforded starting off 0-2.
I’ll check back in soon.
